People's Architecture
   Jun Xia

is a Principal in Gensler's Shanghai office. Jun is an exceptional designer who thrives on analyzing the physical, spatial aspects of a building within the framework of its constructability, economy, and aesthetics. His ability to render design concepts into three dimensional drawings has given his clients a clearer, deeper understanding of their projects at an early stage, allowing for more design collaboration, leading to award-wining projects. In the United States, Jun has worked with several leading companies including Gallup, Invesco, MCI and Sun Microsystems. Internationally, he has worked on some of the most visionary projects to be developed in the past 20 years, including the reshaping and zoning of complete cities and districts in China. Born and raised in Shanghai, Jun worked in Beijing, the architectural design of housing, retail and office buildings. He holds his Bachelor of Architecture from Tong Ji University in Shanghai and his Master of Architecture and Urban design from the University of Colorado at Denver. Jun joined Gensler in 1991 and was appointed Vice President in 1999.
