    JOHAN DE WACHTER

Johan De Wachter is architect and is running Johan de Wachter Architecten, an office for architecture and urban renewal in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. With his office he is working on projects in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France and China. He is supervising the construction of Restaurant 13 in the Jinhua Architecture Park, China and designed the exhibition layout of 'China Contemporary' for the Netherlands Architecture Institute. His work has been exhibited at Arcam (Amsterdam, the Netherlands), ABC Architecture Center (Haarlem, the Netherlands), the 1st Shenzhen Biennale of Urbanism\Architecture and is part of the Wonderland traveling exhibition.

After his studies at the Catholic University of Louvain (KUL) in Belgium, he worked for several years for the Office of Metropolitan Architecture, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. There he contributed to a large number projects and competitions. Johan De Wachter is currently teaching at the Delft Technical University and the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design. He is a guest lecturer and critic at several universities and academies in the Netherlands and Belgium.
