TEACH THROUGH PLAY

BUILDING ASIA BRICK BY BRICK  will use a Teach Through Play approach to foster children' awareness about architecture and urbanism. By combining expertise and knowledge from the exhibition organizers and sponsors, the exhibition' educational programming, developed by People' Architecture and Soong Ching Ling Foundation, will appeal to a broad international public.

Along with all the exhibitions there will be a series of children' workshops using LEGO ® bricks to create a truly integrated educational and play environment for youngsters to interact with and learn from architects and urban planners providing young people with opportunities to explore and develop their creative skills, both individually and in group settings. Architects and invited local participants will be on site to explain the concepts behind their models and work with children on creating their own architectural designs and ideal city. Children will be exposed to a new way of thinking about design, building and teamwork.

Given the scope of  BUILDING ASIA BRICK BY BRICK, Teach Through Play will develop an awareness of cross-cultural understanding and international collaboration in the next generation of creative innovators in China and the US.
